Shanghai Electric Blower Works Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as SEBW), formerly Shanghai Blower Works Co., Ltd., was founded in July 1947. Affiliated with Shanghai Electric Group, it is a high-tech enterprise and a “Specialized, Refined, Differential, Innovative” enterprise in Shanghai.

As one of the largest and earliest fan manufacturers in China, SEBW is mainly engaged in the R&D, design, production, sales and system integration of turbomachinery equipment. Its electromechanical products include centrifugal/axial compressors, centrifugal/axial fans, wind tunnel facilities, silencing equipment and related supporting components.The company is committed to providing equipment and system solutions for power, metallurgy, mining, petroleum, chemical, building materials, nuclear power, wind tunnel, environmental protection and other industries, with products covering more than 30 countries and regions worldwide.

Since 1979, SEBW has successively introduced complete fan technology systems from world-leading international companies including Britain’s BSI, Germany’s BABOCK, and Denmark’s Novenco. Through continuous technology digestion, absorption and re-innovation, SEBW has not only solidified its industrial technological foundation, but also achieved a leap from following to leading.

To maintain technological foresight, SEBW strategically took a controlling stake in Germany’s CFE Company in 2015, deeply integrating European R&D resources. Meanwhile, the company has established an open industry-university-research cooperation ecosystem with top domestic institutions such as the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, as well as international partners including Canada’s Aiolos, Germany’s ADW and Canada’s MDS, driven by innovation.

As an industry leader, SEBW has closely responded to national needs, served national strategies, developed new quality productive forces, and continuously enhanced its core competitiveness. In 2007, SEBW successfully developed China’s first set of automotive wind tunnel power systems, filling a domestic gap. In 2015, it successfully developed key equipment for the 4th-generation nuclear power unit: the high-temperature gas-cooled reactor main helium fan and fuel sphere helium compressor.

In recent years, SEBW has developed several aviation wind tunnel power systems, known as “the pearls on the crown”, as well as test platforms for gas turbines and aero-engine compressors, making major contributions to the construction of national major science and technology infrastructure.

With leading technical strength, SEBW’s fans and compressors have won numerous awards, including the First Prize of National Major Technical Equipment Development, National Gold Quality Award, and Shanghai Science and Technology Progress First Prize, fully demonstrating its leading position in the industry.
