Recently, 5 sets of 22 MW medium temperature and pressure axial exhaust steam turbine generator units, independently developed and manufactured by Hangzhou Zhongneng Turbomachinery Equipment Co., Ltd., have completed all manufacturing as scheduled and officially shipped to Africa.

This batch of units will be used for the gas turbine waste heat power generation project invested by Genser Energy Cote D'Ivoire Sa (GECS) in the Republic of Ghana, with a total installed capacity of 110 MW.

It is reported that these axial exhaust steam turbine generator units adopt the independent innovative technology of Hangzhou Zhongneng Turbomachinery, featuring multiple technical advantages such as compact axial exhaust structure, high-efficiency operation at wide load with throttle steam distribution, and intelligent control system adapted to waste heat fluctuation. They can efficiently recover exhaust waste heat from Solar gas turbines and adapt to the complex and variable operating environment in Africa. Upon completion, the generated power will be directly supplied to mines in Côte d'Ivoire, realizing efficient cross-regional energy utilization and significantly improving energy self-sufficiency and environmental performance in the mining area. This marks another major breakthrough for Zhongneng Turbomachinery in overseas high-end equipment manufacturing and green energy sectors.
