On the 17th, Doosan Energy announced that it had signed a supply contract with a major U.S. technology company for three 380‑MW gas turbines.Doosan Energy plans to deliver one gas turbine and one generator for the data centers developed by the company in 2027, and two units in 2028.This contract represents an additional order following the two gas turbines agreed in October this year, meaning Doosan Energy will have signed contracts for a total of five gas turbines with the same major U.S. technology company over approximately two months.
The rapid expansion of Doosan Energy’s gas turbine orders in the United States is attributable to its proven performance, fast delivery speed and service support provided by its local subsidiary in the U.S.Since successfully launching its large gas turbine in 2019, the company has completed 17,000 hours of demonstration operation to ensure technical reliability.Including this contract, it has received a total of 12 orders to date, proving its competitiveness. The gas turbine maintenance capability of DTS*, its subsidiary based in Houston, USA, has also contributed to this order.
Seung-woo Son, Head of Power Service BG at Doosan Energy, stated:“With the signing of additional supply contracts after the first overseas export, Doosan has firmly established its position as a global player in the gas turbine industry.”
