(Chengdu Keneng) held a global new product launch conference in Changzhou, officially unveiling three core product lines:the ICTA³ 3rd-generation industrial axial compressor,CGA/CGB series gear-integrated compressors,and the EGT40 high-performance gas turbine.

Core Breakthrough: ICTA3 Axial Compressor Upgraded Across Generations Enabled by Aero-Engine Technologies

As the flagship product of the launch event, the ICTA3 third-generation industrial axial compressor, built on advanced aero-engine technologies, is the achievement of four years of joint research and development by Chengdu Keneng and the Aero Engine Corporation of China Research Institute.Derived from cutting-edge aero-engine technologies, it is specifically developed to meet the energy-saving and carbon-reduction demands of the industrial sector. With the core values of “improving efficiency for users, saving energy for the country, reducing emissions for the environment, and benefiting mankind”, this product has achieved generational leaps in key performance indicators.

nTechnological Innovation Leads Industry Benchmarks

The ICTA3 features the pioneering “Ultra ONE” blading system, adopting controlled diffusion airfoils, low aspect ratio, and full 3D aerodynamic design. The modulus of each blade section is optimized for optimal aerodynamic distribution.Its aerodynamic efficiency is over 5 percentage points higher than domestic second-generation products, matching the international benchmark MAN Turbo MAX1 series. The unit stage count is reduced by 35%, achieving a qualitative leap in power density.In terms of reliability, the product incorporates aero-engine strength design standards, utilizing high section modulus blades, casing treatment technology, and an optimized tenon structure.Blade dynamic stress levels are reduced by 30%, ensuring sufficient safety margin for the unit even under extreme conditions such as surge.

nSignificant Achievements in Energy Saving and Carbon Reduction

Verified by the first demonstration unit at Jiangsu Zhongtian Steel, the ICTA3 unit has reduced power consption by approximately 6.4 kWh per ton of iron**, with energy savings exceeding 8%.

This translates to an annual power saving of over 10 million kWh and a CO₂ emission reduction of about 11,000 tons.Beyond the metallurgical industry, this technology also has broad application prospects in energy-intensive sectors including petrochemical, chemical, air separation, and energy storage.

nIndependent & Controllable, Breaking Foreign Monopolies

The core technology of this product is fully independently developed. It holds 16 patents and 5 software copyrights, and has established a complete forward R&D system covering the whole process from one-dimensional design to three-dimensional flow field optimization.

Joint simulation using multiple software platforms including Taihang CAE is adopted, providing a typical example for China’s technological self-reliance and self-improvement in industrial equipment.In addition to the flagship ICTA3, Chengdu Keneng also launched the EGT40 high-performance gas turbine and the CGA/CDB series gear-assembled compressors, forming a **full product portfolio covering various power ratings and application scenarios to fully meet the diversified demands of the industrial sector.

nEGT40 Gas Turbine: The High-Efficiency, Clean Core for Distributed Energy

Developed from a mature aero-engine core, the EGT40 delivers an output power of 4500 kW, with a thermal efficiency of 30% and NOₓ emissions ≤ 20 ppm, outperforming international standards for similar products.Its core components are 100% domestically manufactured, and the control system is 100% independently controllable.

The product is suitable for distributed energy systems, power peak shaving, mobile power units, offshore platforms and other applications.Compared with foreign counterparts, its operation and maintenance cost is significantly reduced, with a major overhaul interval of up to 30,000 hours.

To address the bottleneck technologies restricting high-end centrifugal compressors, Chengdu Keneng has provided a technology solution derived from aero-engine technologies.The CGA series offers a flow range of 70–600 Nm³/min and achieves Level 1 energy efficiency.The CGB series features a flow range of 20,000–280,000 Nm³/h, suitable for air separation units below 60,000 Nm³/h.Among them, the CO₂ compressors and expanders are designed for new-type full-liquid CO₂ energy storage systems.
